The first two days of the 2015 WEVZA U18 Championship – Women delivered great matches for the audience in French city of Mulhouse, as Italy and Spain in Pool A, as well as Germany and Switzeland in Pool B got something to celebrate.

The matches France vs Italy and Belgium vs Switzerland opened the programme on Tuesday. In Pool A Italian got its fist 3:0 victory (25-15, 25-13, 25-19), while Belgium and Switzerland delivered a big fight in five sets with Swiss ladies getting the victory 3:2 (25-20, 23-25, 17-25, 27-25, 6-15).

The second matches of the pools represented the clash between The Netherlands and Spain, and Germany and Portugal, thus resulting with a 3:0 victory for the German side (25-15, 25-16, 25-18) and one five-setter victory for the Dutch squad (27-29, 23-25, 25-11, 25-15, 10-15).

On Wednesday, Italy achieved a new 3:0 victory against The Netherlands in Pool A, as Germany and Switzeland beat Belgium (25-16, 25-21, 25-22) and Switzerland upset Portugal (14-25, 10-25, 18-25) in Pool B.

One their side, France was very close to its first victory in the tournament in the clash against Spain after a long five setter encounter (9-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-20, 12-15)

Before the last Pools matches on Thusday, Italy (6 points) and Spain (4 points) lead Pool A and in Pool B Germany (6 points) and Swizerland (4 points) are at the top of the standings.
