Vilvoorde, Belgium, September 4, 2018. Upon invitation from Volley Belgium and with the support of Volley Flanders, the annual WEVZA Technical Meeting took place in Vilvoorde at the European Volleyball Centre (EVC) on September 3, 2018.
The delegates from Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, France and Portugal, together with WEVZA Vice-President Willy Bruninx and WEVZA Technical Coordinator Teodemiro de Carvalho (POR), discussed the most important technical topics, reviewing the 2018 activities and planning for the upcoming 2019 season.
WEVZA delegates also discussed the organisation of several initiatives regarding the development of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball in their countries, thus reflecting the current vision of the CEV leadership.
The delegates carefully prepared the next competitions, which will be serving as qualifiers for CEV events, stressing the importance of guaranteeing the participation of all member countries and high quality of the organisation. Beach Volleyball activities were in the spotlight as well, with the delegates agreeing on the necessity to promote a zonal tour in close cooperation with the CEV and FIVB.
Volley Belgium President, Mr Guy Juwet, joined the participants for a farewell dinner on Monday night.
