The Technical Commission of the Zonal Volleyball Association of the Western European countries is meeting this week in Dutch city of Amsterdam. The capital of The Netherlands will held the annual gathering of the technical body in a meeting aiming at evaluating the past events and to prepare the exciting new seasons of the union of nations formed by the national federations of Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

The Volleyball Federation of The Netherlands is hosting the reunion that will take place in Dutch capital in September, 16 and 17. Among the multiple topics to be discussed, the commission will review the competitions that were held this last season, either in Volleyball and Beach Volleyball, namely the U16 Women and U19 Men championships in Spanish city of Valladolid, the U17 Men championship in Italian city of Cinquefrondi, and the U18 Women tournament in French city of Mulhouse, as well as the Beach Volleyball competitions of U19 and U 21 Men and Women tournaments in Portuguese city of Macedo de Cavaleiro, the U17 championship in Belgian city of Oudenaarde and the Zonal Tour tournaments celebrated in Barcelona (Spain), Montepellier (France), Fregene (Italy) and Signalia (Italy).

In terms of the new season, the Technical Commission will prepare the calendars of competitions for 2016. In addition to allocate the prospective upcoming tournaments, the reunion will also analyze the Coaches Seminar held this year in Valladolid and the Beach Festival that took place in Den Hague.

The members of the eight national federations of WEVZA participating in the meeting will also have the opportunity to attend the friendly match between the national teams of The Netherlands and Brazil that will take place in Amsterdam on Wednesday evening
